Neuroinnovation Summit 2025 Hosted by Boğaziçi University
The Neuroinnovation Summit 2025 was hosted by Boğaziçi University in Bodrum from September 25–28. During this four-day collaborative program, representatives from academia, regional governments, and industry worked together to develop a common strategic roadmap to promote responsible neuroinnovation in Europe. The event resulted in productive discussions and the establishment of solid action points aimed at building a meaningful and actionable neurotechnology innovation ecosystem.
During the summit, the alliance highlighted the specific tools currently being used and developed to achieve its strategic targets:
- NEURICOO Partner Portal: Connects Shared Research Infrastructures with numerous stakeholders from industry, academia, and local governments.
- NEUROFUND: Provides joint technology transfer services, comprised of Technology Transfer Office (TTO) representatives from the Alliance.
- Neurotechnology Detection Scheme: Used to identify challenges and match them with solution-providing technologies based on the scientific state-of-the-art.
- Societal Challenges Survey: Currently being implemented professionally across participating nations to understand public opinion regarding neurotechnological advances.
- Neurotechnological Solutions Platform: Facilitates collaboration between academia and business to co-develop translational innovations.
A primary short-term target identified for the sustainability of Research and Innovation (R&I) human capital is the creation of clear internship opportunities for NeurotechEU students within the industry. This initiative aims to build sound bridges across key actions—education, research, innovation, and mobility—serving the specific goals of the Common Policies and Strategy Development work package.
