Seven European Universities, One Degree: European Master in Neurotechnology

Seven NeurotechEU partners are jointly introducing a new European Master in Neurotechnology (EMN), a joint two-year, English-taught program that will welcome its first students in the 2027/2028 academic year.

The program was jointly developed by Boğaziçi University (Türkiye), Radboud University (Netherlands), Miguel Hernández University of Elche (Spain), the University of Bonn (Germany), Iuliu Hațieganu University of Medicine and Pharmacy Cluj-Napoca (Romania), the University of Lille (France), and Reykjavík University (Iceland). It will lead to a joint degree certificate that is recognized by all seven participating institutions.

The EMN, comprising 120 ECTS over four semesters, is structured around four core domains (Brain Systems, Clinical, Technology, and Computation) alongside the ethical, legal, and social aspects of neurotechnology. It aims to train neurotechnologists who can work confidently across neuroscience, medicine, engineering, computation, and ethics.

You can find more information on this master's program on the NeurotechEU website.

*The EMN has received a conditional accreditation on Sept 16, 2026 by the Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders.
