Professional Career Preparation Course
Radboud University invites doctoral and postdoctoral researchers from NeurotechEU partner universities to apply for the Professional Career Preparation course, delivered by Alma.Me.
This course is designed to help PhD students and doctoral researchers plan and carry out a move into a career outside academia in a strategic way. Delivered online by Alma.Me and completed at your own pace, it walks participants through every stage of the transition, from reflecting on their strengths and exploring career options to building a professional network, applying for jobs, preparing for interviews and settling into a new position.
Course Details
Participants are required to complete all five modules, along with the workbooks and template tools. Each module ends with a short checkpoint quiz, which must be completed before moving on to the next one.
Participants will submit their current CV when the course begins and an updated, industry-style resume when it ends.
Attendance is required at three online sessions: an opening meeting at the start of the course, a midpoint check-in meeting, and a close-off meeting at the end:
- Intro meeting: 19 October, from 13:00-14:00 CET
- Mid check-in meeting: 6 November, from 10:00-11:00 CET
- Close-off meeting: 26 November, from 16:00-17:00 CET.
Course Dates: 19 October – 26 November 2026
Language of instruction: The course is delivered in English.
Format: Online and self-paced - work through the material in your own time
Credits: 1.5 ECTS
Capacity: Places are limited - register early
Who can apply: PhD candidates and postdocs from NeurotechEU partner universities. PhD candidates from the NeurotechEU Doctoral Network are welcome to apply.
