MBG Seminars 2026 - Targeting Inflammasomes to treat acute and chronic neurodegeneration

We are very pleased to invite you to a seminar hosted by Boğaziçi University on 27 March 2026 at 12:00 CET / 14:00 Istanbul time.

Our guest speaker will be Dr. Sergio Castro-Gomez from the University of Bonn.

Dr. Castro-Gomez has worked in general medicine, neurology, and basic neuroscience, with a particular focus on the molecular mechanisms of learning and memory, neurodegenerative diseases, and neuroinflammation. He is currently a Neurology Physician-Scientist at the University Hospital Bonn, as well as a researcher, graduate lecturer, and Junior Research Group Leader at the Center for Neurology and the Institute of Physiology II at the University of Bonn, Germany.
